The "American Corner" Information and Culture Centre is a joint venture of the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Cracow and the Lower Silesian Public Library. It features an extensive collection of more than 12.000 American scientific and popular science publications, literature for adults and children, textbooks, learning and teaching materials, magazines and many audiovisual and multimedia materials (e. g. a selection of around 1,000 American films, giving an insight into the history of the Hollywood movie industry). Readers can also benefit from a varied programme of educational and cultural activities.
