The Children's Department not only boasts a large collection of books but also organises many attractive leisure activities. The majority of the collection consists of works of fiction (everything from stories and fairy tales right up to teenage fiction), as well as books for early readers answering the most important questions for this age group, as well as books and multimedia publications for schoolchildren preparing for exams and lessons. Of the many events, classes and workshops organised by the Children's Department especially valuable are those that take place periodically, namely: baby and toddler development classes (BAN and BAM), multisensory learning for preschoolers (Stare i Nowe Spotkania Bajkowe - Old and New Fairy Tale Encounters), arts & crafts activities for children aged 7-12 years (Biblioteka-Światoteka - World Library), as well as reading workshops and media education classes.ground floor
